Ascent to Trabuquete Gorge.
First, we´ll enjoy a beautiful village in the Shire of Tietar Vera: Guijo de Santa Barbara. Then we´ll climb upstream Jaranda gorge until one of the nicer pools of transparent cold waters of the region: Trabuquete. The population (like the rest of Vera), has a climate that makes it a true orchard, being protected by the Central System of cold winds from the east and north, and caressed by the wet winds from Atlactic ocean.
It is particularly mild climate, abundant rainfall which puts it in the so-called "wet Spain". Trabuquete is an ideal place to enjoy a swim, since we have overcome the apprehension by the cold waters, which are pure, they will leave your skin soft. It is therefore an ideal route for the summer without diminishing the opportunity to climb in the fall, or even in winter, and have the opportunity to spot mountain goats.
