Just 20 km from Plasencia is "Villa de Galisteo" proudly displaying their Almohad wall built with boulders. Next to the wall is the main tower known as "La Picota" which is the symbol of the town. It stands beside the River Jerte just before it delivers its waters to Alagón river. Over it, Galisteo has a beutiful medieval bridge.
From Galisteo to Coria we´ll drive along the left bank of the river Alagón to realize the fertility of these vegas. When the dimensions of the car does not allow to transit by the canal road, we´ll cross by "El Batan". In the other way, we´ll cross the river in the same Coria, where we will enjoy a multitude of attractions, from the singular London platenee known as "Plátano del Vivero" to a beautiful Roman bridge that does not cross any rivers. We´ll visit the cathedral that treasures the tablecloth of the Last Supper, the magnificent walls of the city, its keep and its quiet old town.
Then we´ll go to Montehermoso and in the road, we´ll stop at the Ermitage of the Argeme Virgin. There you will have a delicious "taco" composed of the best products from Extremadura. In Montehermoso we´ll walk through his pasture and livestock and we´ll find its ancient pigsties and dolmens.
