Route to Castañar de Ibor Grotto and Cabañas del Castillo.
The car will take us to Castañar de Ibor. In this town we will first visit the Interpretation Centre of Castañar Cave that is one of the 4 natural monuments recognized in Extremadura. Due to the nature of this cave, we have to split the group into small groups of five people who are the most numerous group than can enter.
After this amazing experience caving path we will go to the place known as "Calabazas" (Pumpkins) Waterfall. It will be a walk of about 6 km during which we will have seen 17 unique trees, known as "Calabazas" Chestnuts and Great "Quejigo" of the Source and hollies, junipers, honeysuckles, laurustinus, etc. We also find some specimens of Loro, a very rare tree in Extremadura. Finally, we will go to the nearby town of Cabañas del Castillo to enjoy the sunset from the castle which gives its name to this tiny and beautiful town.
